The Global Women’s Institute (GWI)

The Global Women’s Institute (GWI) at the George Washington University launched in the Fall of 2012 as a university-wide measure to advance gender equality through various initiatives such as interdisciplinary research, education, and policy and outreach.

Situated in the nation’s capital at a world-class institution, the Global Women’s Institute (GWI) has great depth of experience from not only its own staff, but from the dedicated partners who share their time, knowledge and expertise. GWI collaborates with leaders in the field from right here in Washington, DC, across the country and around the world to build a network of people committed to improving the lives of women and girls.
